Badami's backstreets, lined with charming ancient houses with intricately carved entrances and Chalukyan ruins, should not be missed. The cave shrines, the north fort, the archaeological museums, as well as the Agastya Tirtha lake are also major attractions.

It was the headquarters of the Chalukya dynasty, whose essence may be found in every structure created therein. The Chalukyas also erected the Mahakuta Group of Temples, which may be found there.

On top of a hill, the Badami Fort exhibits old architecture that is reminiscent of Chalukyan architecture once more. Rock climbing and other adventure activities are also available. During November and December, Godachi village has a modest fair.

2. National Parks and Wildlife Refuges in Nagarhole

Nagarhole is most known for its national parks, which cover 247 kilometres in Karnataka and are home to tigers, leopards, wild elephants, dholes, and guards, among other animals. Nagarhole is the name given to the area due to the abundance of serpentine holes.

The area is covered in deciduous trees with moderate slopes and shallow valleys. Many elephants & bison may be seen in this national park, which is considered one of the best in India.

At this location, you'll be able to witness a broad variety of birds. This national park has been home to more than 250 different species, according to the most recent tally. The Kabini river meanders through the park, making for an interesting sight for park visitors.

This national park has a wide diversity of flora and fauna, as well as wildlife. The Wodeyar Dynasty used the area as a hunting reserve, and the area is on the verge of being recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The location is also excellent for snapping photographs. By paying additional charges, you can bring your cameras along with you.

Devbagh Beach has yet to be discovered, therefore it's a great area to get some alone time. Private islands can be yours through a nearby resort. These include water sports like snorkeling and kayaking as well as water scooters and banana boats. While lounging on the bags near the beach, you can observe the serene Devbagh Island sunset from across the water. The location is recognized for its tranquil beauty and little traffic.

5. Views of Gandikota from the Top

Known as the "Grand Canyon of India," Gandikota is one of South India's lesser-known destinations. Located in Kadapa Andhra Pradesh State, Gandikota is a quaint village. To the right of the settlement, the Pennar River carves a deep ravine through the Erramala Hills, creating a scenic gorge. The towering rocky walls, winding streams, and small valleys evoke memories of Arizona's Grand Canyon.

The Gandikota Fort, erected in the 13th century, is the village's most notable feature. On all sides, the fort is guarded by deep canyons, which add to its sturdiness. Building materials include red sandstone, and the fort's walls are defended by a 5-mile-long wall. Fortress views of hills and valleys are well-known. The fort's granary, jail, and remnants of temples may all be seen from the outside.

6. Caves in the Belum region of Indonesia are known for their intricate designs.

Tourists can visit the largest and longest cave system in India, the Belum caverns in Andhra Pradesh. After the Krem Liat Prah caverns in Meghalaya, the Belum caves in India are the second biggest in the country.

Over the course of millions of years, a limestone deposit has carved out the caves. Intricate designs of water flow on limestone can be found in the Belum caverns, which are designated as national monuments by the government. The natural splendor of these waterways is sure to take your breath away.

Despite the fact that the cave's length exceeds three and a half kilometres, just a kilometre and a half are open to visitors.

The Pataalaganga point, where the caverns reach a depth of 46 metres, is one of those spots. An underground stream meanders through the rocks throughout the year, skimming over the surface. The cave has a lot to offer cave enthusiasts, including extensive passages, galleries, big cavities with fresh water, and water tunnels.

7. Night Treks in the Skandagiri Hills

Trekking can be done in the mornings at Skandagiri Hills, contrary to popular belief in South India.
